CASE STUDY 1

WAN CONNECTIVITY

Company: Clayton and Brewill

Contact: Neil South

Position: Partner

BACKGROUND

Neil South, partner of leading Nottingham accountants Clayton and Brewill had seen the
potential for expanding the business. A core part of this expansion was to remain locally focused to Clayton and Brewill's clients whilst retaining central and efficient IT systems. Neil explained "At Clayton and Brewill we had been using the services of netexperts as an IT support company for 5 years. Clayton and Brewill itself was expanding with an ever increasing client base so we saw the need for further sites to cope with this. One of the core values of Clayton and Brewill is the personal touch so we wanted to remain close to our clients. We were also aware that we wanted to retain a central database and administrative function in Nottingham so as to keep the overheads down"
PROJECT SUMMARY
After consultation with netexperts it was decided that the best solution for Clayton and Brewill was the implementation of a Terminal Server based solution for the newly created remote offices. This would allow the remote offices to work as if they were in the central office and all administrative work could be run from a central location.

BENEFITS
All remote offices are able to connect to the central central Nottingham office.
Future expansions are more cost effective.
 All systems backed up centrally.
Reduced need for additional remote servers, back-up
Security measures are much easier to implement.

CONCLUSION
The implementation of the remote offices for Clayton and Brewill was a resounding success. Neil commented "The installation went smoothly and has brought great benefits to Clayton and Brewill, we are now able to retain the firms ethos of being close to our clients whilst running centralised and efficient IT systems for administration.
